Sclerotherapy is an in-office minimally-invasive procedure, usually recommended for surface spider veins.
This procedure involves the injection of a vein-irritating solution (called the sclerosant) into the affected vein. The solution causes the diseased vein to swell, collapse, and eventually fades into view.
Blood circulation is then re-routed into healthier veins.
Sclerotherapy takes less than an hour to complete. No pain medication or surgery is needed for this procedure.
Ambulatory Phlebectomy
Recommended for medium to large varicose veins, ambulatory phlebectomy involves local anesthesia as the physician creates a small, slit-like incision in the area surrounding the diseased vein.
The abnormal vein close to the skin’s surface is then removed using a small knitting needle-like hook.
Endovenous Laser Therapy
Another non-invasive vein treatment we offer is endovenous laser therapy (EVLT).
Guided by ultrasound, a tiny optic fiber laser is inserted into a varicose vein through a needle. The laser heats and closes the vein, rerouting the blood flow to healthier veins.

Radiofrequency Ablation Endovenous Therapy
Just like EVLT, radiofrequency ablation endovenous therapy is guided by ultrasound imaging.
As the physician pulls out the catheter, each segment of the diseased vein is treated with a short burst of radiofrequency energy. Once the entire length of the diseased vein is treated, blood reroutes to healthier veins.
